We had a blast this last weekend in the OC! The boys got to play with their cousins, we got to spend time in the sun, and we visited Trey Talley down in Mission Viejo!
Check out what we squeezed into this past weekend! On Saturday, we took the boys to a mausoleum to visit my grandma's gravesight. Have you ever been to a mausoleum? They are very cool - I think that's where I want to be buried. It's a huge building and you get put into the walls. The one she is in has three floors, each floor is about 100 yards long and 50 yards wide and has about 5 rows of tombs. It's very bright and peaceful. On my grandma's site, they have her picture and we put flowers. It was very cool.
Then we ate lunch using stuff from my mom's garden. She has an awesome garden... corn on the cob, tomatoes, green beans, all kinds of peppers, cucumbers, squash, fruit. My grandpa has a green thumb. So we had a cool lunch and then took off to my brother's place in Newport Beach. We walked on the pier and got ice cream. Later we ate at the restaurant my brother manages. The cost for 8 of us to have dinner... $260.00 before the tip)! Luckily, my brother gets a killer discount and it actually costed us alot less! We spent the night at his hotel (right on the beach) and the boys stayed over at his place (right behind the hotel). So it was cool but we didn't get to bed until super late.
Then on Sunday we went to church down in Mission Viejo to visit Trey and Bobbie's sister Christy and brother-in-law Kristiano. The preacher preached a good lesson about legalism and how we get wrapped up in it... something we could all hear! He even told the Youth Group that the adult were "working on it" and to be patient! Then, we went to lunch with them (yes, I had Panda Express - Orange Chicken). Then we went to my dad's house in Anaheim. Bobbie went to the movies with my brother's wife Marcella and my stepmom Jenny. They had a "women's day" and went shopping too. The "boys" all stayed back with the kids and played video games and went to the park to play kickball. It was really fun. Finally, we left about 9:30pm to head back up the 'Poc! We got home about 12:15am and got to bed about 1:00am. So, that was our weekend in the OC! We had fun but I couldn't do it every week! :)
How was your weekend??

Nobody wants money?
You do realize that answering the "question of the month" could mean cash in your pocket, right? Well, then where are ya? Let's see some good responses to the question!
Also, if anybody needs extra cash for the summer, let me know. I have some projects I could use help with! I also think I can help score some of you work with others in the church. Just post a reply and let me know what and when you would like to work! I'll do the rest.
See ya

Question of the Month
Okay Loungers! Get your Bible's out because the Question is "Why don't we follow the rules in Leviticus?"
The best answer to this question will get a "free pass" on our next Youth Group trip! So if you win and we go bowling - you go FREE! If we go to the movies - you go FREE! If we go to Soak City - you go FREE! What ever our next trip is - you are FREE!
All you Loungers need to do is respond to the question in this Blog before June 24th. All Blogs will be judged by three members of the church and the winner will be announced June 26th. The more Bible verses you connect to your opinion the better.
If you have any questions post them, because I'm sure others will have the same questions too.
Love you all!
The Wife
Michael Jackson
I'm sure you all heard already that Michael was aquitted. So whether he did it or not doesn't matter because he is an innocent man. That brings some questions to my mind... so let me ask one:
Which is worse? An innocent man going to prison or a guilty man walking free?
Why?
What does the Bible say about this? I'm sure you could find TONS of things in the Bible that talks about things in this case... like reputation, innocence, forgiveness, fame, actions, etc. Let's see if anybody could come up with some good verses...

New Content! Streaming Media!
We are introducing a new service on our main congregational website very soon! Fortunately the Lounge gets an exclusive sneak peak because Vince was the first minister to be recorded with our new system. We are going to be taking Sunday Morning and Evening sermons and recording them to files which you can stream and listen to on your computer or even download for later listening pleasure. Vince gave a wonderful sermon this morning on "I Am" and tied it in between Moses, Christ, and Us today!
If you would like to stream this content you may do so here. If you recieve a dialog option you can choose save or open either one. Saving will simply create a short cut to the streaming content!
If you would like to download the MP3 itself for later listening you may do so here.
Bobcats and Deer
The Youth Group spent the weekend wrestling the elements! We saw a bobcat looking to chase down a small deer on Friday night around midnight. This was happening about 30 feet from our campsite but thanks to our flashlights, the bobcat ran away. Then we had a skunk visit the campsite a little while after that! Luckily, he didn't stink the place up and we were able to get some sleep.
When we woke up Saturday morning, we went on a 2-mile hike that included a "perilous ridge" and "attack of the ticks". Once we got back to the campsite, we dressed for the water and met up with a group called the Foresters who fed us an awesome lunch of BBQ burgers and then paid for all of us to get into the Mustang Water Slide park. That was a blast! Everybody had fun going in the kiddie pool, the water slides, and the hot tubs. My little Derek went on every slide, including the "half pipe" - talk about a brave little dude!
Finally, it was time for us to leave... but wait! The girls decided they wanted to stay another night! I had to get home to finalize a sermon for this morning so I took off with Dante and Chris but Lance decided to stay the next night with the girls to help them feel safer! How nice? So, Bobbie, Dorian, Derek, Lance, Gina, Lauren, Katelyn, and Julie all stayed the next night!
So it's Sunday morning and I'm almost off to church and I haven't heard from them yet. As soon as I do, I will let you know how Night 2 went!
God Bless!

Dropped the Ball!
Hi everyone! My name is Tim Gardner I am working with Vince and the Eldership at Foster Road to rebuild their entire web presence from their main congregational site to their up and coming youth site! Hopefully in due time the youth site will be finished but unfortunately because of all the aggressive changes we’ve made to the main site we have had to push back the launch date of our "Lounge."
If you are seeking information regarding the Youth Day "Psalm Safari" to be held at Foster Road on July 23rd we have made available a PDF of the main mailer we sent out as well as a PDF of the registration form. Both are linked on the left. The registration form includes details on who to mail it to once you have completed it.
If you have any other questions about the Youth Day please do not hesitate to contact Vince Surra the Youth Minister here at Foster Road!
See you all soon!
God Bless!
