Life just keeps on going, doesn't it? Well, in case you didn't realize it, today is February 2nd. That mean there are only 326 shopping days left before Christmas!
And it means that our February Calendar is already filling up with stuff, so let me get the Youth Group events put on your calendars NOW! Here are some events this month:
Sunday, February 5th: I will be watching the Super Bowl with my family. We will be at church that night to debrief it if any of you want to come and congratulate me! Be there at 6:00pm!
Friday, February 1oth: Everybody is invited over to our house for lunch! We will have lunch waiting so you get to spend some time. Bring a friend or two and spend your lunch with the coolest people you know! Be there when you get out for lunch!
Sunday, February 12th: Bible Bowl practice at our house right after church. Lunch will be provided! If you are going to Bible Bowl, you need to be there!
Friday, February 17th: Overnighter at the Surra's house. That's right - it's a campout! Bring sleeping bags and pillows and we will pitch a few tents in our backyard. We'll watch movies, play video games and, of course, do some singing! The next morning is Julie's birthday so we will celebrate with a birthday breakfast! Be there at 7:00pm!
Sunday, February 26th: It's my birthday! Please... no gifts. I have more than enough already (especially if the Steelers win the Super Bowl). We will be having Bible Bowl Practice again. That's right, be here right after church and we will do cake and study.
OTHER IMPORTANT DATES:
March 18th: BIBLE BOWL. I will have permission slips by the end of this week. If you are going, we need to confirm! It will be an overnight trip to Whittier, CA.
July 9th-16th: YOUTH WAVE at Pepperdine. This event is HUGE! It's the biggest event of the year and the most costly. It is a week-long spiritual retreat that will challenge you to take your faith to the next level. I encourage all students to consider going to this but will only accept those who are committed and excited about it. In order to go, you must fill out an application, participate in several service events (to be planned), and participate in several Bible studies. For those who go, you will experience an event like nothing you have ever been to and will return with a new perspective on life!
Don't forget to stay PLUGGED IN on Wednesdays and Sundays by getting to Youth Group. Don't let your batteries die!
Call me if you have any questions!
